DualX

DualX is a suite of Clarity smart contracts for the Stacks 2.0 blockchain that creates a DeFi ecosystem for exchanges, enabling investors to earn yield while passively waiting to acquire an asset. It consists of two main components: DepX (Deposit Exchange) for creating yield-bearing deposits with embedded optionality, and a planned GamX (Gamma Exchange) for building liquidity pools without impermanent loss.

Key Features

• Yield-Bearing Deposits — Investors earn an upfront yield in deposit currency (e.g., BTC) while waiting to purchase a target asset (e.g., STX).
• Deposit Tokens (dTokens) — Yield providers receive transferable tokens representing ownership of the deposit and its optionality.
• Embedded Optionality — At maturity, the yield provider can choose to return the deposit in either the original or target currency, based on a pre-agreed conversion rate.
• Optionality-Based Liquidity — The planned GamX exchange uses dTokens to create liquidity pools where providers avoid impermanent loss, as trading is backed by deposit exposure.
• Smart Contract Automation — Core functions like add-option, confirm-agreement, exercise-option, and get-return automate deposit creation, confirmation, execution, and settlement.

Philosophy

DualX aims to create efficient, low-risk DeFi primitives by leveraging optionality to generate native liquidity for asset pairs, reducing costs for new projects compared to traditional market makers or DEXs.
